The Department of "Oriental Philology" was established based on the decision of the Scientific Council of Alfraganus University No. 3 of December 28, 2022.

    The department consists of  totally  22 professors-teachers. Among them: 2 are professors, 10 are DSc professors, 5 are senior teachers, and 5 are teachers. Since January 4, 2023, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor Jurayeva Nazokat Gulmuradovna has been working as the head of the department.

 "Oriental philology" department has "Uzbek language and literature", "Oriental  philology" and "Journalism (teleradio)" directions. The members of the department have the opportunity to train mature bachelors and masters in these directions, educational methodical, scientific - conducting research work is defined as the main tasks. Turkish language science is also taught as an additional foreign language in the directions. Courses in Arabic and Turkish languages are conducted under the Department of Oriental Philology. Students from 3 types of directions of undergraduate courses and 2 types of directions of master's specializations study at the department.
