The department was created on the basis of the order of the rector of the university No. 1 dated on August 30, 2023.

In total, the department employs 10 teachers, including 3 associate professors, 5 senior teachers, 2 assistants and 2 part-time teachers. Since September 1, 2023, the head of the department is a Candidate of Geographical Sciences, PhD Muminov Abdujalil.

The main tasks for the staff of the department are to train specialists in the field of architecture, design and geodesy, cartography and cadaster in accordance with modern requirements, as well as to conduct educational, methodological and research work. On the basis of the department there are “Architectural planning and design” laboratory and a “Architectural pencil color image” workshop. In addition, it is planned to create a “Digital Cartography and Remote Sensing” laboratory. Currently, the department teaches students in 3 bachelor directions.
