Rector's Adviser on Scientific Affairs and Innovations
Doctor of Economics, Professor F.T. Egamberdiev was born on August 21, 1964 in Tashkent.
In 1981, he entered the Faculty of Philosophy and Economics of ToshSU and graduated in 1986.
In 1987-1990, he studied full-time as a graduate student at the Republican Research Institute for the Placement of Productive Forces of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences, and in 1990 defended his PhD thesis on the topic “Increasing the economic efficiency of the fruit and vegetable complex of the Tashkent region.”
In 2003 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Regional features of the development of the agro-industrial complex of Uzbekistan” and in 2005 received the title of professor of the department of “International Economic Development”. 43 years of scientific-pedagogical activity including student years at the university.
From 1990, he started working at ToshSU and continues his scientific-pedagogical activity at Alfaraganus University.
From 1990 to the present, he worked continuously as a senior teacher, associate professor, and professor at the Faculty of Economics of UzMU.
During the years 1993-2003, he worked as the deputy dean for spiritual and educational affairs of the Faculty of Economics of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek, and in 2003-2012, he worked as the dean of the Faculty of Economics.
Currently, he gives lectures on economic theory and history of economic teachings to students.
During his scientific and pedagogical activity at the university, he published more than 300 scientific works, including 10 scientific monographs, 6 educational manuals, 20 scientific monographs and articles abroad.
In 2007-2011, he was the chairman of the specialized council awarding scientific degrees of Doctor of Science at UzMU and from 2021 to 2023 at the Tashkent branch of the Yodzh Technical Institute. During his career at the university, 14 candidates of science, including 1 foreign scientist Muhammad Al Jabr (United Arab Emirates), successfully defended their theses under his guidance. At the same time, he managed two fundamental and one applied scientific grants during this period.
He is a grantee of the Istiedod Foundation under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a TEMPUS grantee, a World Bank grantee, a grantee of the Histatrud International Institute, a grantee of the Korea Development Institute, and a participant in a number of international conferences and symposiums.
