Information Resource Center of Alfraganus University. It carries out its activities to provide quality services to students, professors, teachers, staff and readers and to assist them in acquiring knowledge.

            In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 20, 2006 - "On the organization of providing the population of the republic with information and libraries", higher education libraries began to operate as Information Resource Centers.

            The IRC job descriptions were developed in accordance with the Charter of “Alfraganus University”, Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Decrees and Orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Resolutions of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Resolutions and Orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The main purpose of the Center

- To provide users with access to information and library resources;

- To create conditions for satisfying the intellectual, spiritual, moral, cultural and educational needs of users;

- To promote the restoration and further development of national culture, the preservation of the historical, spiritual and cultural heritage of the people of Uzbekistan;

- To ensure the mutual use of information and library resources based on information and communication technologies.

The main tasks of the center are as follows

            More than 20,000 users use the services of the center, and the number of resources provided exceeds 10,000 thousand. ARM "Alfraganus University" serves students, masters, as well as specialists of relevant medical professions. The number of visits exceeds 200 thousand annually. Users are also provided with monographs, textbooks and study guides.

          The information and resource center has created the opportunity to download electronic copies of more than 70 textbooks and other types of literature via a special QR code. These "QR BOOKs" are installed in all educational buildings of Alfraganus University, and students and staff of the university can freely use them.

          The Information Resource Center and the Electronic Library are fully stocked with the necessary literature, magazines, books and electronic forms for readers and provide them with information, constantly updated and reliable information, as well as software that allows you to quickly and conveniently find the necessary information. Currently, the electronic library fund contains more than 6,000 electronic copies. These include textbooks, monographs, manuals, lectures, curricula, atlases, encyclopedic materials, textbooks, journal articles, and other publications.
