A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in New York between Alfraganus University and the International Turon Federation (ITF).
The document was signed by Azizbek Ismailov, Rector of Alfraganus University, and Farrukh Niyazimbetov, President of the International Turon Federation.
This partnership will support the development of the university’s Faculty of Physical Education and Sports in accordance with international standards and promote the integration of education, research, and professional sports.

Under the agreement, the following initiatives are planned:
— launch a bachelor’s degree program in Turon sport starting from the 2027/2028 academic year;
— train professional coaches, referees, and qualified sports specialists;
— develop academic programs and assessment criteria in cooperation with the ITF;
— organize free international training and certification programs for faculty members and students;
— conduct research on the history, methodology, biomechanics, and pedagogy of Turon sport;
— establish a training and certification center for Turon coaches and referees at the university.
In addition, representatives of Alfraganus University will have the opportunity to participate in ITF international competitions as referees, observers, and members of technical delegations.

This agreement marks a new international stage for the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at Alfraganus University, while providing students with new opportunities for professional sports education and access to the international arena.
