Illegal production, possession, transportation or shipment of narcotic drugs (Article 276 of the Criminal Code)

  • In simple cases:
    A fine of up to 50 times the BHM (base calculation amount), or up to 360 hours of community service, or up to 3 years of correctional labor, or restriction of freedom for 1 to 3 years, or imprisonment for up to 3 years.

  • If committed in large quantities or repeatedly:
    Imprisonment from 3 to 5 years.


Sale or distribution of narcotic drugs (Article 273 of the Criminal Code)

  • In simple cases:
    Imprisonment from 7 to 10 years.

  • In aggravating circumstances (e.g., selling to minors):
    Imprisonment from 10 to 20 years or life imprisonment.


Promotion or propaganda of narcotic drugs (Article 274 of the Criminal Code)

  • In simple cases:
    A fine from 150 to 300 times the BHM, or 300 to 360 hours of community service, or restriction of freedom from 1 to 2 years, or imprisonment from 1 to 2 years.

  • If committed in educational institutions or places involving children:
    A fine from 300 to 500 times the BHM, or imprisonment from 2 to 3 years.
