On February 20-21, 2023, our President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, paid an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt and gave instructions to establish the "Friendship Scientific Society" dedicated to studying the life and work of Al-Farghani.

On these very dates, February 20-21, our university, under the initiative of the rector, has institutionalized the tradition of organizing events dedicated to Al-Farghani’s birth anniversary. In 2024, a scholarship and honorary badge named after Ahmad Farghani were introduced and awarded to active, creative, and innovative students.
